Chevrolet Cobalt Service & Repair Manual: Air Conditioning Compressor Clutch Transfer

Refer to Fig. 1 when performing the following procedure.
1. Recover the refrigerant.
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
3. Rotate the drive belt tensioner and remove the drive belt from the pulleys and tensioner.
4. Remove drive belt.
5. Raise and support the vehicle.
6. Remove the right side engine splash shield.
7. Remove the compressor hose assembly and disconnect the compressor electrical connector, Fig. 2.
8. Remove A/C compressor bolts (1) and compressor (2).
9. Reverse procedure to install. Torque A/C compressor bolts to 16 ft. lbs.
