Raise and support vehicle using suitable
lift. |
| 2. |
Remove tire and wheel assemblies. |
| 3. |
Separate outer tie rod end from steering
knuckle using suitable tool. |
| 4. |
Disconnect ABS wiring harness connector. |
| 5. |
Remove hub and bearing assembly. |
| 6. |
Remove steering knuckle to strut bolts
and nuts, Figs. 1. |
| 7. |
Remove lower ball joint from steering
knuckle. |
| 8. |
Remove steering knuckle assembly. |
| 9. |
Reverse procedure to install, noting
the following: |

a. |
Torque wheel lug nuts to 100
ft. lbs. |
| |
b. |
Torque tie rod end to steering
knuckle nut to 44 ft. lbs. |
| |
c. |
Torque wheel bearing and hub
mounting bolts to 85 ft. lbs. |
| |
d. |
Torque strut to steering knuckle
bolts and nuts to 89 ft. lbs. |
