Chevrolet Cobalt Service & Repair Manual: Rear Bumper Impact Bar

Removal

1. Remove rear bumper fascia as outlined in Rear Bumper Fascia.
2. Remove rear bumper impact bar bolts (1), Fig. 1.
3. Remove rear impact bar (2).

Installation

1. Carefully position rear impact bar (2) to vehicle and install bolts (1), Fig. 1.
2. Torque bolts to 18 ft. lbs.
3. Install rear bumper fascia as outlined in Rear Bumper Fascia.
