When you open the hood on the 2.2L L4 engine, here is what you will see:
A. Engine Air Cleaner/Filter (2.0L Turbo Engine) or Engine Air Cleaner/Filter (2.2L Engine).
B. Engine Oil Fill Cap. See “When to Add Engine Oil” under Engine Oil.
C. Engine Oil Dipstick (Out of View). See “Checking Engine Oil” under Engine Oil.
D. Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir. See “Brake Fluid” under Brakes and Hydraulic Clutch.
E. Engine Compartment Fuse Block.
F. Remote Positive (+) Terminal. See Jump Starting.
G. Remote Negative (-) Terminal. See Jump Starting.
H. Engine Coolant Surge Tank. See Cooling System.
I. Windshield Washer Fluid Reservoir. See “Adding Washer Fluid” under Windshield Washer Fluid.

It is a good idea to check the engine oil level at each
fuel fill. In order to get an accurate reading, the oil must
be warm and the vehicle must be on level ground.
