Chevrolet Cobalt Service & Repair Manual: Rear Compartment Lid Latch

Removal

1. Release lock rod using a flat-bladed tool.
2. Disconnect electrical connector if equipped.
3. Remove rear compartment latch bolts (2), Fig. 1.
4. Remove latch (3) through access hole.

Installation

1. Install latch through access hole, Fig. 1.
2. Install rear compartment latch bolts. Torque to 89 inch lbs.
3. Install electrical connector if equipped, to latch.
4. Install lock rod.
