| A visual inspection must always
be performed to confirm the presence of aftermarket components, potential
collision damage, or areas of concern. |
| The test can be performed with
a dynamometer or supporting vehicle on appropriate lift. Inspection must
be completed within 20 seconds after pressing accelerator pedal or TCL system
will stop functioning (fail-safe). |

Visually inspect for obvious signs
of mechanical or electrical damage. |
| 2. |
If an obvious cause for an observed
or reported concern is found, correct cause if possible before proceeding. |
| 3. |
Connect a suitably programmed scan
tool to vehicle DLC. |
| 4. |
Carry out network test. |
| 5. |
Clear continuous DTCs and carry out
self-test diagnostics for ABS/Traction Control module. |
| 6. |
Start and idle vehicle. |
| 7. |
Press TCL mode switch to ON position. |
| 8. |
Place front wheels on dynamometer rollers
(if available). Ensure all safety procedures are followed when using
dynamometer. |
| 9. |
If dynamometer is not available, lift
and support vehicle. |
| 10. |
Place shift selector in drive D position. |
| 11. |
When depressing accelerator pedal,
determine if engine RPM is suppressed. |
| 12. |
If TCL indicator light illuminates
and engine speed is suppressed, system is functioning properly. |
