Chevrolet Cobalt Service & Repair Manual: Brake Pad Service

Raise and support vehicle, then remove
tire and wheel assemblies. |
2. |
Tighten suitable C-clamp until piston
is compressed into caliper bore. Remove C-clamp. |
3. |
Remove brake caliper lower guide pin
bolt. |
4. |
Pivot caliper upward and support aside
using suitable wire. |
5. |
Remove brake pads from caliper,

Reverse procedure to install, noting
the following: |

Inspect brake components. |

Bleed brake system as outlined in Brake
System Bleed. |
