Chevrolet Cobalt Service & Repair Manual: Door Latch

Front

1. Remove front door trim panel as outlined in "Door Trim Panel.".
2. Remove water deflector from front door.
3. Remove three door latch retaining screws, Fig. 1.
4. Disengage door lock rod from door latch, then remove latch.
5. Reverse procedure to install, torque door latch to 89 inch lbs.

Rear

1. Remove front door trim panel as outlined in "Door Trim Panel.".
2. Remove water deflector from front door.
3. Remove three door latch retaining screws, Fig. 2.
4. Disengage door lock rod from door latch, then remove latch.
5. Reverse procedure to install, torque door latch to 89 inch lbs.
