The filter removes dust and pollen from the air which is drawn into the vehicle. Airflow reduction is an indication that the filter needs to be replaced.
The filter should be replaced as part of routine
scheduled maintenance. See Scheduled Maintenance for replacement intervals. To

To access the passenger compartment air filter:

1. Open and empty the glove box.
2. Lower the glove box door by pressing in on each side and lowering from the track.

3. Pull the tab at the back of the glove box toward you and open the passenger compartment air filter door downward.

4. Pull the filter out toward you.
Install the new air filter with the AIR FLOW arrow pointing downward. Reverse Steps 1 through 3 to reassemble.
