Rear
Disc Brakes
| 1. |
Raise and support vehicle, then the
tire and wheel assembly. |
| 2. |
Without disconnecting the hydraulic
brake flex hose, remove and support rear brake caliper and bracket
as an assembly. |
| 3. |
Mark position of brake rotor to wheel
studs, then remove brake rotor. |
| 4. |
Disconnect electrical connector from
wheel speed sensor. |
| 5. |
Remove wheel bearing/hub assembly mounting
nuts. |
| 6. |
Remove wheel bearing/hub assembly and
disc brake backing plate from rear axle assembly. |
| 7. |
Reverse procedure to install. |

Drum Brakes
| 1. |
Raise and support vehicle. |
| 2. |
Remove tire and wheel assembly. |
| 4. |
Remove plug from drum brake actuator
access hole in backing plate, Fig. 1. |
| 5. |
Install a support for brake backing
plate through access hole. |
| 6. |
Disconnect electrical connector from
wheel speed sensor. |
| 7. |
Remove wheel bearing/hub assembly mounting
nuts, then the wheel bearing/hub assembly from rear axle and brake
backing plate. |
| 8. |
Reverse procedure to install. |
