Chevrolet Cobalt Service & Repair Manual: Exhaust Manifold, Replace
Removal
| 1. |
Remove exhaust manifold heat shield. |
| 3. |
Raise and support vehicle. |
| 4. |
Remove manifold to exhaust flex decoupler
mounting bolts. |
| 5. |
Pull down and back on exhaust pipe
in order to disconnect pipe from exhaust manifold. |
| 7. |
Remove exhaust manifold to cylinder
head mounting nuts. |
| 8. |
Remove exhaust manifold, clean sealing
surfaces. |
| 9. |
Reverse procedure to install. Torque
exhaust manifold to cylinder head mounting nuts to 106 inch lbs.,
in sequence, Fig. 1. |
