Raise and support the vehicle. |
| 2. |
Place a drain pan under the oil drain
plug. |
| 3. |
Remove the oil pan drain plug. |
| 4. |
Allow the oil to drain completely. |
| 5. |
Install the oil pan drain plug. |
| 6. |
Use tool No. J-44887 to loosen the
oil filter cap, Fig. 1. |
| 7. |
Remove the oil filter cap and filter. |
| 8. |
Remove the oil filter from the oil
filter cap, Fig. 2. |
| 9. |
Inspect the oil filter cap O-ring seal
for damage, replace as necessary. |
| 10. |
Reverse procedure to install, noting
the following: |

a. |
Torque the plug to 18 ft. lbs. |
| |
b. |
Torque oil filter cap to 18
ft. lbs. |
