Chevrolet Cobalt Service & Repair Manual: Air Conditioning Compressor Clutch Transfer
| Refer to Fig. 1
when performing the following procedure. |
| 1. |
Recover the refrigerant. |
| 2. |
Remove the air cleaner assembly. |
| 3. |
Rotate the drive belt tensioner and
remove the drive belt from the pulleys and tensioner. |
| 5. |
Raise and support the vehicle. |
| 6. |
Remove the right side engine splash
shield. |
| 7. |
Remove the compressor hose assembly
and disconnect the compressor electrical connector, Fig.
2. |
| 8. |
Remove A/C compressor bolts (1) and
compressor (2). |
| 9. |
Reverse procedure to install. Torque
A/C compressor bolts to 16 ft. lbs. |
