Chevrolet Cobalt Service & Repair Manual: Wiper Motor, Replace

1. Remove wiper arm assemblies.
2. Disconnect washer tubing from air inlet screen.
3. Remove air inlet grille panel push-in retainers from panel using door trim pad and garnish clip remover tool No. J-38778, or equivalent.
4. Remove air inlet grille panel from vehicle.
5. Disconnect electrical connector from wiper motor.
6. Remove screws and wiper drive system module from vehicle.
7. Remove wiper transmission from wiper motor crank arm using wiper transmission separator tool No. J-39232, or equivalent.
8. Remove screws, then the wiper motor from frame.
9. Reverse procedure to install. Torque mounting screws to 88 inch lbs.
