Chevrolet Cobalt Service & Repair Manual: Window Regulator R&R

Front

Coupe

Manual
1. Remove interior trim panel.
2. Remove water deflector.
3. Move window to full up position and secure in place with tape.
4. Remove side door window regulator nut, Fig. 1.
5. Remove side door window regulator bolts, Fig. 1.
6. Remove front side door window regulator assembly, Fig. 1.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Torque window regulator fasteners to 89 inch lbs.
Power
1. Remove interior trim panel.
2. Remove water deflector.
3. Move window to full up position and secure in place with tape.
4. Remove side door window regulator nut, Fig. 2.
5. Remove side door window regulator bolts, Fig. 2.
6. Disconnect electrical connector.
7. Remove front side door window regulator assembly, Fig. 2.
8. Reverse procedure to install. Torque window regulator fasteners to 89 inch lbs.

Sedan

Manual
1. Remove interior trim panel.
2. Remove water deflector.
3. Move window to full up position and secure in place with tape.
4. Remove side door window regulator bolts, Fig. 3.
5. Remove front side door window regulator assembly, Fig. 3.
6. Reverse procedure to install. Torque window regulator bolts to 89 inch lbs.
Power
1. Remove interior trim panel.
2. Remove water deflector.
3. Move window to full up position and secure in place with tape.
4. Remove side door window regulator bolts, Fig. 4.
5. Disconnect electrical connector.
6. Remove front side door window regulator assembly, Fig. 4.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Torque window regulator bolts to 89 inch lbs.

Rear

Manual

Loosen bolts enough so that regulator assembly will lift out of T-slots in door inner panel.
1. Remove interior trim panel.
2. Remove water deflector.
3. Move window to full up position and secure in place with tape.
4. Remove side door window regulator bolts, Fig. 5.
5. Remove rear side door window regulator assembly, Fig. 5.
6. Reverse procedure to install. Torque rear window regulator bolts to 89 inch lbs.

Power

Loosen bolts enough so that regulator assembly will lift out of T-slots in door inner panel.

5. Disconnect electrical connector.
6. Remove rear side door window regulator assembly, Fig. 6.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Torque rear window regulator bolts to 89 inch lbs.
